About Me
Hello, I’m Kamelia, and I’m passionate about helping professionals feel confident and supported in their safeguarding practice. I’ve worked with children and young people across education for over 20 years, from reception right through to sixth form. That experience has shaped my understanding of how vital good safeguarding is — not just for keeping children safe, but for helping them truly flourish.
As a Director of Safeguarding in one of London’s most diverse and culturally rich boroughs, I’ve had the privilege of leading on safeguarding in vibrant, challenging, and inspiring settings. For the past five years, I’ve also been providing safeguarding supervision and training, creating reflective spaces where professionals can learn, grow, and strengthen their practice.
I’m a Chartered Management Institute–registered Manager, and I’m proud to be an active member of several safeguarding and supervision networks that keep my work informed, connected, and current. I’ve also been invited to speak at conferences, sharing insights on effective supervision and safeguarding leadership with colleagues across the sector.
My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and grounded in real experience. I believe that when professionals feel supported and valued, they can make the biggest difference to the children and families they serve.
